Answers to Your Questions

How does it work?

Your provider will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to minimize any discomfort. As with any other laser procedure, your eyes will be protected with a safety shield or glasses. The provider will then pass the MicroLaserPeel hand-piece over specific treatment areas as quick pulses of laser energy are emitted. The energy heats the moisture in the skin and vaporizes targeted areas of the epidermis.

Will it work for me?

The treatment works well on fine lines and wrinkles and can significantly lighten areas of sun damage, acne scars, keratoses, and pigmented lesions. MicroLaserPeel can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands. For a more dramatic improvement, a MicroLaserPeel can be combined with ProFractional™ Therapy to enhance collagen production.

Does it hurt?

The provider will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin 30 to 45 minutes to prior to treatment to prevent any discomfort. You may feel a light stinging sensation, like a rubber band snap.

How long does it take?

The procedure lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients find that 1 treatment produces satisfactory results, but more dramatic results can be achieved with a package of 3 to 4 treatments. You can maintain your results for a longer period of time by using sunscreen and following a recommended skin care regimen.
