Answers to Your Questions
How does it work?
ProFractional uses an erbium: YAG laser to penetrate the skin in thousands of microscopic channels, each surrounded by healthy, untouched skin. The alternating pattern of treated and untreated channels promotes faster healing and reduces downtime. The treated areas trigger the skin's natural healing mechanism to generate new cells and promote collagen growth.
Will it work for me?
Treatment can be tailored for specific needs and goals, ranging from a superficial treatment targeting surface imperfections, to a deeper more intensive procedure to erase deep wrinkles and pigmented lesions. ProFractional laser resurfacing is a good stand-alone treatment, but for more dramatic results it can be combined with other procedures, including MicroLaserPeel® or BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation Therapy.
Does it hurt?
To lessen any discomfort, your provider will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin prior to treatment.
How long does it take?
Treatment times range anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on the depth of treatment needed.
How many treatments will I need?
Many patients enjoy benefits from a single treatment, but depending on your individual goals, your provider may recommend a package of 1 to 4 treatments. Treatments can also be combined with other procedures for more dramatic results.
