The Procedure

A specially formulated, compounded numbing cream is applied about 30-45 minutes before the treatment to ensure your comfort. Once the treatment area(s) are adequately numbed, your esthetician uses the Vivace® handpiece to create precise micro-channels with tiny needles while delivering controlled RF heat energy.

During this process, clients typically feel only light pressure and occasional mild sparking sensations. Afterward, specialized serums are applied to improve healing and treatment results. Many providers recommend a series of three treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, for optimal results; however, single sessions are also available.

The Recovery Process

During the first 4-6 hours after treatment, it’s recommended to use gentle skincare products, such as a soothing mask and recovery system provided by your esthetician. Makeup can usually be applied after six hours if desired, though many clients feel comfortable going without. To ensure optimal healing, avoid heavy exercise and sweating for 24 hours following your sessions. Protecting the skin from direct sun exposure and using sunscreen are also important during recovery.
