Then, while pulling the skin tight, she holds the blade at an angle and uses short, swift strokes to scrape off the dead cells and peach fuzz. The treatment promotes skin cell renewal and a series of treatment sessions will enhance results.

DERMAPLANING OR MICRODERMABRASION?
Both of these treatments exfoliate the skin using different techniques. A PowerPeel® microdermabrasion gently sprays the skin with micro-crystals that are then immediately vacuumed along with skin cells loosened by the crystals. Patients also have the option of adding dermaplaning to HydraFacial® MD or microneedling treatments for an additional $25.
WILL FACIAL HAIR REMOVED BY DERMAPLANING GROW BACK DARKER?
That’s a common concern we hear from patients at our med spa. It’s actually an old wives’ tale that peach fuzz becomes darker once it’s removed. It grows back at the same rate and with the same texture as it was before dermaplaning.
CAN I DO THIS MYSELF AT HOME?
